Staffing Update
As you may have heard, Pastor Chrissy Westbury will begin a new part-time role as Associate Presbyter with our Presbytery of Lake Michigan. The good news is that she will continue among us part-time, as well. Further good news is that Pastor Amber Nettleton and Meredith Alspach will increase their work among us. Here’s a bit of an explanation.
Chrissy will continue with pastoral care and worship, faith formation and outreach activities, and resource Stewardship Committee. Amber will increase involvement with pastoral care, worship, faith formation activities, and resource our Deacons and Congregational Life
Committee, including orienting new members. Meredith will continue as the primary point person and staff resource for youth and families, Faith Formation and Outreach Committees, as well
as expanding leadership of Outreach activities, including Celebrate the Vision.
Pastor Chrissy and Pastor Amber will be Stated Supply in the position of Associate Pastor.
By Presbytery procedure, their renewable one-year contract gets approved by Session.
Meredith’s Position Description has been amended to reflect her new responsibility. Transition in these responsibilities will begin after the congregational meeting on November 20, 2022.
If you have any questions or concerns, Chrissy, Amber, Meredith, Pastor Seth Weeldreyer, or Craig Kortlandt (Personnel Committee moderator) would be happy to chat with you!
