Anthem In This Place Carl Meyer / Summer Choir
There is a welcome for the weary;
There is a rest, for it is here we
Find the power of our family’s healing love;
For as Christ has welcomed all by grace,
There is a welcome in this place.There is a healing for the hurting;
There is a balm, for it is certain
That our God who feels our pain is here to heal;
For as God has healed us all by grace,
There is a healing in this place.There is a comfort for our sorrow;
There is a hope for each tomorrow.
God’s compassion reaches to our needs;
For as Christ brings comfort through God’s grace,
There is a welcome, healing, peace, in this place.
Offertory Music How Great Thou Art Carl Boberg
text Stuart H. Kine/Caitlin Brooks
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
consider all the worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
thy power throughout the universe displayed:Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee:
How great thou art! How great thou art!When through the woods and forest glades I wander
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
and there proclaim, “My God, how great thou art!”
* Hymn #634 “To God Be the Glory” Fanny Crosby
To God be the glory; great things he has done!
So loved he the world that he gave us his Son,
Who came here to free us from death and from sin,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,
And give him the glory: great things he has done!Great things he has taught us, great things he has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord; let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son,
And give him the glory: great things he has done!
Anthem Calm to the Waves Thomas Pavlechko
text by Mary Louise Bringle/Summer Choir
Calm to the waves. Calm to the wind. Jesus whispers, “Peace, be still.”
Balm to our hearts. Fears at an end. In still-ness, hear his voice.
