KUDOS is an ecumenical collaboration among churches in Kalamazoo that originally came
together in 2018 to celebrate 500 years since the Reformation. It serves our neighbors on the Northside of Kalamazoo by helping to winterize windows and doors. In 2021, 35 volunteers
(6 from FPC) gathered again in the Northside neighborhood to help 13 residents.

KUDOS Volunteers work with residents to caulk around and secure plastic coverings over their windows, and seal gaps around their doors. In addition, the real goal remains to forge meaningful relationships with the residents.

On October 28th, teams will gather from several downtown churches and organizations at Allen AME Chapel, 804 W. North St., Kalamazoo, at 8:30 a.m. to work with 25-30 residents in the Northside to prepare their homes for the winter. The work will occur from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.;
we will invite the residents to share a meal with us.
