God is personal, but never private. Faith is both vertical and horizontal and reaches out to
the world. “God so loved the world …” John 3:16
We are called to love our neighbors not as “others”, but as other children of God. This study is
for anyone willing to move into a deeper conversation about faith and willing to take crucial
faith discussions to all those you know and love. Many of our discussions will be based on the
book, “The False White Gospel” by Jim Wallis, Director of the Center of Faith and Justice
at Georgetown University.
We will gather in the garden at Connie Houts home (2015 Wild Cherry Lane) at 9:30.
Our study will begin with prayer and meditation at 9:45. Those who are able, please bring a chair.
In case of rain, we will meet at church. An email will be sent by 8:30 confirming a location change.
Pat Stromsta will facilitate our summer study. Please email her with any questions.
