Ash Wednesday services took place at noon
at several of our DOCC (Downtown Outreach
Churches’ Collegium) partnering downtown
churches and 4 clergy, offered ashes from 12-1
in Bronson Park.

Matt representing Trinity Lutheran, Kalamazoo
First Presbyterian, and First United Methodist.
In addition to offering ashes, the pastors distributed
a brochure listing the Holy Week schedules of our
7 churches. For our neighbors at Annunciation Greek
Orthodox, Easter is celebrated on May 5 this year,
with Holy Week services at 6 p.m. April 28 to May 3.
As we grow in fellowship, in serving and learning,
our expressions of faith may look different, but we
come together unified in the goal of shining brightly
the light of Christ in our city.
