The Rev. Amber Nettleton

Associate Pastor

Back to directory

Reverend Amber Nettleton was born and raised in “Cajun country” where the Louisiana phrase “laissez les bons temps rouler” (let the good times roll) greatly influences her life and ministry.

She has served with the people of FPC since 2022.
Amber earned her M.Div. from McCormick Theological Seminary in 2012 and has served as a hospice chaplain and pastor in Portland, Oregon. In addition, she was the pastor of Pine Island Presbyterian Church in Kalamazoo, MI, and provided supply leadership and preaching in Michigan for several years.
Amber moderates the Committee on Nominating and Representation for the Presbytery of Lake Michigan, serves on the PLM leadership team and is president of the Kalamazoo Area Medical Alliance.

Her family includes her spouse, Will, and their three young children.
Amber is passionate about living and serving within Kalamazoo and supporting Kalamazoo Public Schools. When she isn’t at the church, Amber can be found building Legos to add to her Lego city, blowing bubbles and drawing with chalk in her driveway, cooking vegetarian meals in her kitchen, washing never-ending piles of laundry, or hiding from her children to eat chocolate and read historical fiction novels.
