Rev. Josh Bode comes to Kalamazoo First Presbyterian after serving for eight years in the Sultanate of Oman with the Reformed Church in America’s Global Mission. There, he served as pastor and change process facilitator at the Protestant Church in Oman, helping the church navigate a period of deep transformation. He also served as Director of Operations and Ecumenical Affairs at Al Amana Centre, a Christian-led interfaith peacebuilding organization. Before serving in Oman, Rev. Bode spent a decade as pastor of the Woodstock Reformed Church in Woodstock, New York. Over the years, he has served the Reformed Church in America in a variety of roles beyond the local church.

“I feel blessed and excited to be joining First Presbyterian for this interim season of congregational discernment and forward motion into the future for which God has been preparing us.”
