Bach Around the Block 2026 on June 8 at 7pm

The American Guild of Organists – Southwest Michigan Chapter is excited to host our annual Bach Around the Block “organ crawl” concert on Monday, June 8 at 7pm in Kalamazoo. We will begin at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, continue to First United Methodist, and conclude at First Congregational with a light reception. The concert is free, and features local talent, all members of the guild chapter.
Our theme this year is “Following the Footsteps of Bach.” Pieces will be played in chronological order, tracing Johann Sebastian’s career moves from town to town, church to church, organ to organ. Also featured is a newly discovered Chaconne in G minor, BWV 1179, from early in his career.
