Good Friday Tenebrae (Service of Shadows)

We will sit with the ones who stayed, those who walked with Jesus all the way to the tomb. Following ancient tradition, the sanctuary will be gradually darkened and stripped of adornment as we remember Jesus’ final hours before his death. We will leave the sanctuary in silence and shadows as we hold that grief, ever in the sure and certain hope of the coming resurrection.
